Timeline

  1. Applications: Applications: November-March 2019
  2. Interviews: January-April 2019
  • Internship: 11-12 weeks per cycle (Spring, Summer, Fall)

We will review applications and interview candidates on a rolling basis from January through April 2019. When applying, please indicate areas of interest i.e. Software Engineering, Firmware Engineering or Quality Engineering in the subject heading. Updates will be provided as the status of applications change in the recruiting process. Candidates will be matched with teams based on their background and interests.

Software Engineering Project

Work with a team with an agile mindset to help significantly reduce or eliminate security risks while gaining experience in a DevOps environment.  You will have exposure to a variety of tools such as Git, Maven, Jenkins, and OWASP open source.

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Software Engineering or other related technical field.
  • Exposure to web technologies gathered from class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work
  • Excellent Communicator with the ability to speak and write in English
  • Excellent time management and collaborative skills
  • Curios and creative with a focus on achieving desired results

Firmware Engineering Project

Prototype a Proof of Concept (POC) IoT Gateway, connecting wired and wireless sensors to the Trilliant network. You will have the opportunity to utilize an advanced development kit to monitor sensors and communicate sensor data up to a cloud platform or hosted Head-End-System via Ethernet and wireless technologies. Wireless technologies used will include Zigbee, BLE, Wi-Fi, RPMA, and Secure Mesh NAN.

About You

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or other related technical field.
  • Proficient C programmer; C++, Python and Embedded Linux a Plus
  • Exposure to or experience with an embedded systems development environment and familiar with  ARM uPs AND Embedded RTOS gathered from class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work.
  • Excellent Communicator with the ability to speak and write in English
  • Excellent time management and collaborative skills
  • Curios and creative with a focus on achieving desired results

Quality Engineering Project

Work with our quality Engineering team to ensure test validation and customer delivery readiness across Software, Firmware and hardware covering functional and non-functional characteristics of products and solutions.

About you

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Software Engineering or other related technical field.
  • Exposure to or experience with quality engineering, systems engineering, design engineering or test gathered from class, coursework, course projects, research, individual projects, internships, or other practical experience inside or outside of school or work
  • Excellent Communicator with the ability to speak and write in English
  • Excellent time management and collaborative skills
  • Curios and creative with a focus on achieving desired results
