The Director of Corporate Marketing is responsible for providing senior leadership and management of Trilliant’s worldwide corporate marketing activities, which include: corporate positioning and brand development, corporate communications (PR/AR) programs, PR firm management, marketing communications/tradeshows, advertising and web/interactive marketing. This position will report to the Chief Marketing Officer.

 

This position is accountable for driving the company’s efforts to position itself as the leader in AMI end-to-end solutions. To fulfill the requirements of this role candidate must possess solid skills in strategic communications planning, integrated marketing and message development, brand strategy/corporate positioning and media/analyst relations.

Candidate must demonstrate proven success in the areas of integrated marketing planning and execution, cross-functional project execution, decision-making, team leadership, and executive communications. In addition, candidate must work well under pressure in situations where they are expected to manage and drive multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Position interacts with sales, product management, product marketing and the executive team to effectively position company and align corporate and product messaging across the company. This role will also work with HR to develop internal communications strategies and plans to communicate and reinforce key business objectives and develop a strong and unified corporate culture.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Develop strategic communications plans including developing and communicating corporate positioning, messaging and communications campaigns
  • Oversee execution of Integrated Corporate Marketing programs, including effective management of corporate marketing team and various out-sourced agency relationships
  • Develop and manage company’s Public Relations and Analyst Relations programs to raise awareness and build leadership perception of company in both trade and business press
  • Develop and manage the company’s marketing communications activities including collateral development, sales tools, tradeshows and website to maximize effectiveness of all
  • Collaborate across the company to deliver messages to key constituents consistent with the organizations’ priorities, strategies and brand
  • Collaborate with product owners to develop and refine product positioning and align with corporate messaging as part of product launch activities
  • Develop and track metrics and success criteria for all corporate marketing programs and PR/AR programs and activities
  • Prepare senior executives for presentation and press/analyst meetings through strategic counsel, coaching and media training
  • In coordination with HR, develop and execute global internal communications programs relating to business activities (i.e. non-human resources communications)
  • Provide input on & administer the firm’s Marketing Operations budget
  • Develop and administer a marketing database which includes client and prospect information
  • Research and develop strategies & plans which identify new marketing opportunities
  • Represent the company at community and industry events to promote the company

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years’ experience in Marketing
  • Prior experience working in an energy related or technical industry desirable
  • Exceptional track record of developing and implementing Corporate Communications and Marketing strategies that have consistently met or exceeded planned objectives, providing personal leadership through example
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different Marketing functions to create a results-driven, team-orientated environment
  • Experience with multiple areas of marketing including direct response, creative development, marketing plan development, media buys
  • Has in-depth functional expertise and broad business knowledge
  • Applies expertise to achieve financial and operational objectives
  • Develops relationships with key internal/external customers to identify emerging needs
  • Ability to travel locally throughout business day and/or throughout the US to meet with customers or attend industry conferences

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

  • 4-year degree, Marketing, Advertising or related field
  • MBA preferred
