Java Support Analyst

The Java programmer analyst will take a technical leadership role in the support software solutions. The
programmer analyst should have intuitive knowledge of the Java server development process, and a good
understanding of metrics and factors that influence the performance of heavily multi-threaded, high
throughput Java server and microservices applications. He or she will be expected to promote best practices in
support to the deployment team by providing the technical expertise required to resolve various issues and challenges at the customer site.

• Good understanding of advanced Java topics such as heavy multithreading, garbage collection, data
representation of Java applications, and microservices (Docker/Kubernetes) architecture
• Share on Call support (24h/7 days) with the team
• Teach and learn with others of the team
• Manage in a very fast-changing environment
• Excellent analysis skills
• Great communications skills

• 5+ years developing systems Java 1.8 based applications
• 5+ years’ experience in Object Oriented Programming and Design concepts
• Networking and security experience
• Expert knowledge required in the following areas:
o Open-Source Frameworks and Components (Spring, Tomcat, JMS ActiveMQ)
o Database Layers and Components (Hibernate, Oracle)
o Web Services API Layers and Components (XML)
o Testing Frameworks (JUNIT, and derivatives)
• Strong knowledge of common J2EE APIs and DBMS use

Preferred knowledge of:
o Docker / Kubernetes
o Unix/Linux

• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
• Highly self-motivated, self-direct and attentive to detail
• Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Strong time management skills with ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
