Job Description:

The Security Administrator is primarily responsible for maintaining the security of the Trilliant corporate environment, monitoring for vulnerabilities, endpoint security, system automation, patch management, and virtual environment administration. This position will be reporting to the Director of Information Technology.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creation and administration of Windows and Linux virtual servers; patch management and automation (PowerShell, Bash)
  • Administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
  • Manage IT maintenance and patch management of VMware Vhost.
  • Assist with security planning, monitoring for zero-day vulnerabilities and implement resolutions.
  • Solid foundation in endpoint security; Sophos suite with intercept X and full suite of MS Azure and Defender Cloud and Endpoint protection tools including Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) and Windows Defender Exploit Guard (EG)
  • Apply techniques to protect Trilliant data through data loss protection processes, physical security, email filtering, and sound data backup and recovery skills.
  • Provide end users with security awareness training and phishing simulation.
  • Respond to customer and ISO 27001 security audits: completing security incident reports.
  • Monitoring security, network and server alerts, administration of the monitoring applications
  • Audit the infrastructure to ensure the security best practice have been implemented.
  • Microsoft 365 user management; SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, and meeting administration
  • Diagnose network issues on corporate and lab networks.
  • Installation and maintenance of physical servers and network area storage.
  • Work closely with internal IT resources and third-party vendors in resolving hardware/software issues.
  • Provide support for IT system security implementations.
  • Assist in evaluating new hardware and software, advises users on hardware and software alternatives; recommends standards for selection of software.
  • Maintains onsite inventory and maintenance contracts for equipment and parts.
  • Solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP protocols and security fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, VPN, routing, DNS, etc.)
  • Support users in a global environment and varying time zones.
  • Provide end user training, onboarding, endpoint configuration and administration.
  • Follow department infrastructure and security best practice.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast pass environment
  • Manage multi-tier user, application, and server support tickets.
  • Participate in IT projects as required.
  • Available on-call for support and problem resolution.
  • Other duties as required to meet divisional objectives.

Position Requirements:

  • 5 or more years of experience in a comparable or similar role.
  • Linux (Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu) Administration experience required
  • Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory administration experience required.
  • Microsoft 365 and SharePoint support experience desired
  • Threat and vulnerability monitoring experience desired
  • Cloud (VMware/Azure/AWS) administration experience desired
  • Knows Windows patch management.
  • Solid understanding of networking, TCP/IP protocols and security fundamentals (VLANs, DHCP, VPN, routing, DNS, etc.)
  • Microsoft 365 and SharePoint support experience desired
  • Threat and vulnerability monitoring experience desired
  • Cloud (VMware/Azure/AWS) administration experience desired

Education/Certifications:

  • Industry certifications such as: A+, Network+, Server+, Linux+, MCP, CCNA desired; Security+ strongly desired
