Trilliant is currently hiring a manufacturing project manager to join the Supply Chain & Manufacturing team. This position requires the collaboration among cross-functional teams within Trilliant as well as with vendors, customers and strategic business partners.  The Manufacturing project manager will provide cross-functional leadership and collaboration with project teams to determine project goals, objectives and critical milestones.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with project team members, including business, engineering and other cross functional teams to effectively and efficiently execute the project plan and achieve the overall business objectives
  • Creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Update all levels of management in regular and ad hoc forums on project status
  • Identifies resources needed and assigns individual responsibilities
  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope
  • Reviews deliverables prepared by team before meetings
  • Effectively applies our PLC methodology and enforces project standards
  • Minimizes our exposure and risk on projects
  • Ensures project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Provides project accounting reports as required
  • Tracks and reports team hours and expenses on a weekly basis
  • Manages project budget
  • Determines appropriate revenue recognition, ensures timely and accurate invoicing, and monitors receivables for project
  • Analyzes project profitability, revenue, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Uses Project management software to manage all projects
  • Drive continual process improvement

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Financial/Project Management

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced and dynamic high-tech environment
  • Experience with global projects rolled out in multiple phases, involving different time zones, cultures and multiple regulatory agencies
  • Understands basic revenue models, P/L, and cost-to-completion projections and makes decisions accordingly
  • Understands our pricing model and billing procedures
  • Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates and utilization
  • Assures project legal documents are completed and signed

Business Development

  • Identifies business development and “add-on” sales opportunities as they relate to a specific project/s
  • Demonstrate business acumen to not only project manage key initiatives but also though leadership to help identify and implement the best solution

Communication

  • Effectively conveys message in both written and verbal discussion
  • Facilitates team and client meetings effectively
  • Holds regular status meetings with project team
  • Keeps project team well informed of changes within the organization
  • Effectively communicates relevant project information to superiors
  • Delivers engaging, informative, well-organized presentations
  • Resolves and /or escalates issues in a timely fashion
  • Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully
  • Possesses a thorough understanding of our capabilities

EDUCATION & CERTIFICATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • 10 years of experience as a project or program manager
  • Strong experience of supply chain management, including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management and international shipping
  • PMP, Six Sigma certification highly desired
  • Experience with Microsoft Project or equivalent, Sharepoint or other collaborative tools
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems, such as SAP
