Resiliency is Essential as Grids Look to Modernize
Can grids evolve to meet the changing usage patterns of Canadians?
That’s the question asked by Electrical Business editor Jack Burton when he spoke with Trilliant’s Steven Lupo, Managing Director, North America. The article explores why grid resiliency is now top-of-mind for Canadian utilities as the country transitions more toward EV adoption and demand for data centres grows. In the article, Lupo discussed the importance of smart grid systems to provide the visibility that utilities need to navigate dynamic energy management situations. As operators shift their management priorities to focus on generating and analyzing data to better predict fluctuations of demands placed on the grid, Lupo told Burton it could lead to increased emphasis on IT and software skills needed to get the most out of those systems.
