Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Andy joined Trilliant in 2009, bringing more than 30 years of leadership and experience in the utility, energy, networks and communications industries. Prior to Trilliant, Andy served as a General Electric (GE) corporate officer and as President and CEO of several GE businesses.
During his tenure, Andy has led businesses for major infrastructure and communications projects in Congo, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Dominican Republic and Algeria. He has served on two university advisory committees and ten boards. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bath University, specializing in Power Electronics.
Global Delivery Executive
Chris joined Trilliant in 2010 bringing more than 25 years of leadership and dynamic experience in the energy industry delivering major programs of change. His extensive knowledge of the industry and technology has enabled him to excel in implementing and delivering Trilliant solutions around the world.
He is an Electrical Engineer with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Manchester University in the United Kingdom. In addition, he is a Certified Project Management Professional with the Association of Project Managers, a PRINCE 2 Project Management practitioner, a Member of the Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) and an Incorporated Engineer with the Engineering Council (IEng) of Great Britain.
Senior Vice President, Human Resources
Tricie is a seasoned human resource professional with more than 15 years of extensive HR expertise gained through experiences in contract manufacturing, non-profit and technical recruitment industries. Her knowledge base of employee relations, performance management, policy development, benefits, compensation, staffing/recruiting, training, acquisition integration, and compliance are critical to Trilliant’s demands.
Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary
Courtney joined Trilliant in 2017, bringing with him extensive experience in corporate transactions as well as commercial, intellectual property, and corporate governance. Prior to joining Trilliant, Courtney was a senior lawyer at Credit Suisse, where he advised on corporate governance, U.S. bank regulatory matters, and leverage lending transactions, and served as a Co-Chair of the General Counsel Diversity Committee. Before relocating to the Research Triangle, Courtney spent a decade practicing law in New York City, initially at the law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and later at Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP. His practice at these firms included representation of investment banks, private equity funds, hedge funds, and other institutions in connection with various corporate transactions.
Courtney received his J.D. from New York University School of Law, and his undergraduate degree in English Literature with honors from Duke University. Courtney is an active speaker on legal panels throughout the Triangle and guest lectures at the University of North Carolina School of Law.
Managing Director, Global Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT)
Ryan joined Trilliant in early 2007, where he pioneered the process and best practice being implemented in Trilliant Smart Grid Deployments, he was responsible for end-to-end service delivery as well as early product introduction and performance. A Smart Grid/Utility Technology Executive, Ryan provides strategic vision and builds high-performance global organizations that translate customer vision into practical, profitable reality. His entire professional career has been in the Electrical Utility Industry.
Ryan received his degree Communications Engineering (Red River College – honors) and Utilities Management (University of Manitoba).
Senior Vice President, Global Services
As Senior Vice President, Global Services, Paul is responsible for Trilliant’s Network Delivery, Customer Services, Information Technology and Corporate Security. Paul brings more than 25 years of experience driving customer acquisition, expansion and success through transformative solutions. Prior to his current role Paul led Trilliant’s growth in EMEA as Managing Director.
Before joining Trilliant Networks he held executive positions in marketing and product management at Sun Microsystems where he played an instrumental role in the successful integration of SeeBeyond Corporation. Prior to Sun, Paul was Director of Strategic Alliances at CellNet Data Systems where he helped guide strategy through the acquisition by Schlumberger. Other industry experience includes leadership sales and marketing roles at ABB Asea Brown Boveri, Inktomi, and Texas Instruments.
Paul has a Master of International Business degree from Seattle University and a BSEE from the University of Washington.
Senior Vice President, Networks
Dave Kranzler is responsible for all product development activities required to deliver smart grid solutions to our utility customers. Dave has 25 years of experience in delivering high performance networking, semiconductor, and wireless products to the global marketplace. He joined Trilliant from Cypress Semiconductor, where he was VP/GM of the Synchronous SRAM business unit, and led the product line to #1 market share. Prior to that, Dave was SVP of Product Development at Savi Technology, the leader in active RFID solutions which was acquired by Lockheed Martin in 2006. Earlier in his career, he held senior engineering and general management positions at Broadcom, Gadzoox Networks, and 3Com.
Dave earned his MBA from Santa Clara University and BSEE from MIT, and holds five US patents.
Senior Vice President, Canada
Steven leads Trilliant’s Canadian operations and brings 20 years of successful business experience leading both early-stage and established Energy Management, Utility Services, and Smart Metering/Grid businesses. Steven has significant global Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations experience and maintains responsibility for our Toronto based Meter Lab, and our S-A-01:2017 Accreditation and associated Quality Management System through Measurement Canada.
Prior to joining Trilliant, Steven led Energy and Information systems businesses through early-stage AMI deployments in Ontario, and spear-headed the development and operation of Ontario’s first production AMI Smart Metering System built upon a managed services platform. Steven is a computer engineering technologist with education from Seneca College and the University of Toronto.
Managing Director, Americas
As the Managing Director for Americas, Nick is responsible for expanding the industry and leadership in the Americas region. With over 9 years of experience at Trilliant holding positions in the EMEA region, Nick brings more than 20 years’ experience with technology and high growth businesses worldwide including fixed and wireless communications in Europe, North America, and South America.
Nick Received a Masters of Engineering degree from Sheffield University and has studied at the Cranfield School of Management.
Senior Vice President, Global Solutions & Commercial Operations
As Senior Vice President, Global Solutions & Commercial Operations, Mike is responsible for Trilliant’s Strategic Engagements, Product Marketing, Product Management, Applications & Integration Engineering, and Commercial Operations. Mike joined Trilliant in 2006 bringing more than 30 years of RF communications network expertise with over 20 years of experience in smart grid network and software solutions. He began focusing on the Smart Grid market in the late 90’s with industry pioneer, CellNet Data Systems, and later joined Schlumberger following its acquisition of CellNet, where he managed the business development process from initial business case development through contract negotiations.
Mike earned an MBA with Distinction from Bentley University in Waltham, MA and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern University in Boston, MA.
Managing Director, APAC
As the Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Bryan Spear is responsible for expanding Trilliant’s industry and business leadership in the Asia Pacific region. Bryan came to Trilliant with almost 15 years of leadership experience in the energy and technology industries. He has excelled in introducing companies and complex solutions into new markets. As an expert in utilities and smart grid technologies, Bryan has succeeded in delivering complex technical and commercial solutions to meet and exceed customer’s needs. Bryan joined Trilliant in 2010 from General Electric.
Bryan received an MBA from Northeastern University, and a BSEE from the University of Louisville.
Managing Director, EMEA
As Managing Director for Europe, Middle East & Africa, Tom Tipple is responsible for developing and implementing Trilliant’s strategic development across the EMEA region. Tom has over 25 years’ experience in the wireless communications and cleantech energy markets, with both start-up companies and large corporations. Before joining Trilliant, Tom was with cleantech companies Imergy Power Systems and Prudent Energy, pioneering the development of flow battery energy storage systems into international markets. Prior to Prudent Energy, Tom held a number of senior management positions in the communications industry with companies including Millicom, Inmarsat and AlanDick.
Tom received an MBA from Texas A&M University, and a BSc (Eng) from Queen Mary College, University of London.
Vice President, Global Marketing
As the head of global marketing, Jenifer is responsible for developing and implementing marketing programs and activities around the world. She is a seasoned marketing professional with nearly 20 years of integrated marketing experience and brings a deep industry knowledge having served over ten years in the energy and utility space. She is highly regarded for planning and leading comprehensive marketing strategies in support of business goals and objectives with demonstrated success driving the growth of target markets through analyzing market data/business trends and developing strategic plans.
Jenifer holds a corporate communications degree from East Carolina University.
