Job Description:
Trilliant is seeking a Senior Accountant with primary reporting to the Regional Controller, APAC. This position will be focusing on supporting the APAC operations, with a heavy focus on accounting and tax compliance in India.
Position Responsibilities:
- This position will perform duties and responsibilities as assigned by Regional Controller, APAC as well as the corporate office, including but not limited to:
- Performing continuous financial close processes for month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting.
- Perform/support revenue and accounts receivable functions, including customer invoice generation, E-invoicing, revenue recognition, and customer collection
- Perform accounts payable functions, which include processing vendor invoices and resolving vendor queries
- Fixed assets accounting
- Perform all applicable accounting entries and reconciliations including cash, expenses, accrual, deferred revenue, and tax provisions.
- Prepare cash flow projections.
- Prepare current and deferred tax provision calculations.
- Ensure Trilliant is tax-compliant within the operating jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with external consultants on all direct tax, indirect tax, international tax, transfer pricing, and various statutory/regulatory filings.
- Manage local statutory audit and support group financial audit requests.
- Support Business on RFP/bid submission, financial forecast/planning, and project financial analysis.
- Streamlining accounting functions and operations, identifying opportunities for process or control improvement, lead/support the implementation.
- Collaborate cross-functions to resolve inquiries and issues promptly.
Position Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in accounting/ tax compliance roles with emphasis on India and APAC operations.
- Must include practical knowledge and experience handling direct tax, indirect tax, and international/transfer pricing compliance in India (corporate income tax, TDS, GST, WHT)
- Solid knowledge of USGAAP/IFRS and Indian GAAP.
- Dependable with high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving skills, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
- Must be able to work intuitively and independently, as well as part of a team.
- Experience with SAP ECC or similar financial systems strongly preferred.
- High proficiency in Excel.
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- CPA/Chartered Accountant certification required
- SAP ECC experience an asset
